No single source covers everything, so we layer them. UN World Population Prospects provides national totals and birth and death rates, revised every two years. The World Bank republishes development indicators like literacy. WHO surveys cover tobacco and health behaviours. WorldPop turns satellite imagery into gridded population estimates, useful where censuses are stale. HDX hosts the humanitarian datasets, including displacement tracking.

They disagree with each other constantly, usually by small margins, occasionally by millions.

Our simulation engine takes baselines from these sources and projects them forward in real time. The ticking is ours; the anchors are theirs.
